KC Bier Co. is celebrating its 5th Anniversary with a bier festival in the brewery on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. featuring 24 small-batch specialty biers, German-style festival fare (new this year!) and plenty of Gemütlichkeit!
WHAT BIER WILL BE SERVED?
Featured biers include unique styles brewed by each KC Bier Co. brewer in addition to high-alcohol and barrel-aged varieties, vertical tastings of Winterbock and a few other surprises. This your opportunity to taste samples of our traditional German-style bier as well as our non-Reinheitsgebot-compliant bier. We'll post a full list of anniversary bier soon — stay tuned!
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Entry fee is $10 at the door and includes a 7 oz. sampling glass and five bier tokens.
HOW DO I GET BIER?
One token is redeemable for a half-pour, two tokens can be redeemed for a full pour. Additional tokens will be available for purchase for $2 each.
WHAT FOOD WILL BE SERVED?
New to this year's event, we will serve traditional Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst, bier cheese suppe and gulasch during the anniversary bier festival. This is separate from the full menu of items available in the Bierhalle. Food is not included in the $10 entry fee and must be purchased separately in the festival area.
WILL THERE BE A SOUVENIR GLASS?
A .5L souvenir anniversary mug will be available for purchase in the main Bierhalle for $6 — or, fill the mug with any klassiker bier and keep the glass for $9. Souvenir mugs cannot be filled in the bier festival.
CAN I FILL MY GROWLER WITH ANNIVERSARY BIER?
Because we have a limited supply of anniversary festival bier, we are unable to fill growlers with specialty bier. You can, however, fill your growler with any of the bier available in the Bierhalle.
ARE YOU OPENING AT 11:00 A.M. OR 1:00 P.M.?
Our Bierhalle will open for normal business at regular hours at 11:00 a.m. The anniversary bier festival takes place outside of the Bierhalle in the production brewery and packaging area. This area will open to the public at 1:00 p.m. when the anniversary bier festival begins.
WILL THE BIERGARTEN BE OPEN?
The Biergarten is self-service, so it is technically always open. Here's hoping for beautiful weather that day!
WILL YOU STILL HAVE THE 1:00 P.M. BREWERY TOUR?
Our regularly scheduled Saturday 1:00 p.m. brewery tour will not be offered because of the anniversary bier festival. Brewery tour guides will be available for demonstrations and questions.
